know before your salon visit

1. Booking an appointment

  • To give every guest our full attention, we work by appointment. If a last‑minute spot opens up we’re happy to take a walk‑in—simply give us a call or refresh our online calendar to see real‑time availability.

  • Evening and weekend slots, as well as multi-hour color services (like balayage or highlights), usually fill up 3–6 weeks ahead. So checking a bit earlier never hurts. For spontaneous openings, you can join our waitlist—just give us a quick call.

  • Life happens—if you need to cancel or reschedule, we respectfully ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.

    • More than 24 hours in advance: no charge.

    • Less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows: a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the booked services will apply.

    • Arriving over 15 minutes late: we can’t guarantee your service. If we can’t accommodate you, the same cancellation fee will apply. We’ll do our best to find another time that works for you.

  • We offer six stylist levels so you can align expertise to your budget and needs:

    • Stylist – rising talent bringing fresh ideas.

    • Top Stylist – several years’ experience and a keen eye for trends.

    • Master Stylist – advanced techniques and perfectionist finish.

    • Senior Master Stylist – masterful color and cut artistry with attention to every detail.

    • Art Director – creative lead with international know‑how for statement looks.

    • Editorial Stylist – visionary artists booked for runway and magazine shoots.

    All categories follow the same NeoPrivée quality standards.

  • NeoBerlin and NeoPrivée belong together; both salons stand for exceptional craftsmanship, style awareness and sustainability. NeoBerlin embodies progressive, urban hair culture—a vibrant salon at the heart of the city. NeoPrivée, tucked away in the courtyard, offers a quieter retreat, specializing in color, color correction and hair rejuvenation in a private atmosphere.

2. Your visit with us

    • Haircut: 45–75 minutes, including a fragrant wash and signature NeoPrivée finish.

    • Color (balayage, highlights or global bleach): ~3.5 hours, depending on hair length and density.

  • Yes—photos help us understand your vision right away. Choose images where the model’s hair length and texture are close to yours—this helps us tailor expectations and technique.

  • Come in with your hair styled as you normally wear it—this shows us its natural fall and how you like to shape it day to day. A routine wash the day before is perfect; you don’t need to arrive with “dirty” hair for color to take. Please skip heavy oils, styling powders and dry shampoo. If you’re booked for a global blonding service, avoid washing on the day so your scalp’s natural oils can form a gentle protective barrier.

  • Cash and all major credit and debit cards. Gift vouchers can be redeemed as well.

  • Our international team is fluent in English, German, Spanish, Polish and the universal language of great hair. Have a look at our team page to find out more.

  • You’ll find us tucked inside a quiet courtyard in Prenzlauer Berg (full address on our contact page). We’re a 3‑minute walk from the U2 Eberswalder Straße station. Limited street parking is also available.

3. Signature services & consultations

  • Absolutely—stand‑alone color consultations can be booked online or by phone. Your stylist will assess hair health, skin tone and lifestyle, then design a bespoke color plan and quote.

  • Every color visit begins with a deep‑dive consultation to choose the right technique—balayage, teasylights, foils or a blend. Your package always includes:

    • Toner/Glossing for perfect tone and mirror shine

    • Bond builder (Olaplex) to protect and strengthen

    • Luxury wash & scalp massage

    • Signature blow‑dry plus take‑home styling tips

    We’ll proceed only if your hair health allows it. Major transformations or extra‑long, dense hair may require more time and an additional fee.

  • Yes—we love curls and coils. Give us a call or add a note in your online booking so we can match you with a stylist experienced in dry‑cutting textured hair. (We don’t offer chemical relaxers or braiding, but we’re happy to recommend trusted specialists.)

  • Definitely. Olaplex rebuilding treatments are available as a stand‑alone service to strengthen your hair between color visits.

    Our 75-105-minute Discovery and Signature Treatments—featuring botanical exfoliation, Leonor Greyl serums and a soothing scalp massage—can be booked as a standalone treat at our sister salon NeoBerlin.

  • We specialize in tape‑in and hand‑tied weft extensions made from ethically sourced hair. A separate consultation is required for color‑matching, length selection, and pricing; maintenance visits are usually every 6–8 weeks.

4. Privacy & special occasions

  • Yes. We offer private appointments and are happy to accommodate specific preferences.

    Coming soon: exclusive appointments in our Hinterhaus Studio. This serene, separate space is designed for those seeking complete privacy—ideal for clients who wear a hijab, value quiet, or simply prefer an undisturbed experience.

  • Absolutely. Please give us a call or write us an email and we’ll reserve a time when only female team members are present and no men are in the salon. Let us know your preferred days and times and we’ll coordinate a slot that guarantees full privacy.

  • On request, we can provide early‑morning or after‑hours sessions for bridal styling, photoshoots and VIP events. Email us the date, location and headcount and we’ll tailor a quote.

5. Conscious products & sustainability

  • We work with Leonor Greyl, Evo, Olaplex and Color Wow—professional ranges that are 100 % cruelty free. Olaplex is fully vegan, Evo is vegan except for a few wax‑based stylers and both Leonor Greyl and Color Wow clearly label their vegan options. Let us know if you prefer 100 % plant‑based; we’ll guide you to the right products.

  • Yes. We keep hypoallergenic, fragrance‑free cleansers and soothing scalp serums on hand. Let us know your sensitivities when booking so we can prepare a patch test or reserve the right products for you.

  • Yes. Many of our brands sell through their official webshops and trusted beauty retailers. Buying in‑salon directly supports our team and lets us recycle the empty packaging for you.

  • We operate on a low‑waste, refill‑first mindset. Cut hair is donated to Hair Helps the Oceans and we source 100 % renewable energy for the salon. Empty product bottles can be returned for proper recycling.

6. Care beyond the chair

  • Ask us for personalized styling tips anytime—your stylist will walk you through tailored blow‑dry techniques and the products we used so you can repeat the look at home. Feel free to snap quick photos or jot down notes; we’re happy to suggest the right brush or tool for your routine.

  • Every head of hair is unique, so there isn’t a single formula.

    • As a starting point we recommend a sulfate‑free shampoo.

    • If your hair feels dry or brittle, a moisture mask once a week.

    • Always apply a heat protectant before using heat‑based tools.

    • A UV shield spray helps if you spend lots of time outdoors.

    • Plan a gloss refresh every 6–8 weeks to keep tone and shine on point!

  • Let us know within two weeks and we’ll book a complimentary adjustment appointment. Your feedback helps us perfect our craft and we want you to love every detail.

  • Always discuss hair color with your healthcare provider first. We offer ammonia‑free glosses and soft balayage kept off the scalp as gentler options. If you decide to wait we can suggest tonal conditioners to keep your hair feeling fresh.

  • Children twelve and under enjoy a special haircut rate when booked within our “Stylist” category. At this time we don’t offer a separate student discount. Up‑to‑date pricing is always visible on our Salonkee booking page.

7. Hair models, gift cards & feedback

  • We run training sessions and creative shoots on a regular basis. Follow @neoprivee on Instagram for model calls or DM us your current photos and hair history. If your look fits an upcoming project we’ll invite you for a free or reduced‑rate service.

  • Absolutely. Just ask our host at the front desk or send us an email at mail@neoprivee.de. Choose any amount and rest assured that vouchers never expire. You can redeem them for services or products.
